A conical head is a tapered, cone-shaped end closure manufactured from stainless steel, widely applied in storage tanks, mixing vessels and discharging systems of food and chemical equipment.
It features a smooth inclined surface with a shrinkage taper. Its biggest advantage is self-flow discharging. Powder, granular, viscous and liquid materials slide down naturally without residue, making cleaning easy and reducing manual labor.
Compared with spherical and dish heads, the conical design has better concentration effect and is ideal for continuous feeding, filtering, sedimentation and high-viscosity material treatment. It is commonly used in atmospheric or low-pressure working conditions, simple in structure, low in cost and convenient for installation.
It is often fitted at the bottom of vertical jacketed kettles and mixing tanks to realize efficient discharging and meet sanitary production standards.
