A spherical (hemispherical) head is a pressure-bearing, arc-shaped end closure used for jacketed kettles, pressure vessels and tanks. It is formed by integral cold stamping or spinning from food-grade stainless steel.
Compared with flat or conical ends, the spherical head features uniform stress distribution, higher pressure resistance and better thermal conductivity. Its smooth, fully curved surface prevents material residue, reduces dead zones, and meets food hygiene standards. The arc design enables natural flow during discharging, easy cleaning and less waste.
It supports high temperature and high pressure working conditions, suitable for demanding sterilization, boiling and concentration processes. With thickened seamless construction, it is durable, corrosion-resistant and long-lasting. Widely used in high-grade kettles, pressure tanks, and pharmaceutical vessels to improve safety, efficiency and sanitation.
